Empowering Parents in Career Transitions
Our Story and Mission
Like many parents, I reached a point where returning to work didn’t feel simple anymore.
What should have been an exciting step forward felt complicated—balancing childcare, rebuilding confidence, navigating gaps in my CV, and searching for an employer who truly understood flexibility. It wasn’t just about finding a job. It was a major life transition.
And I quickly realised I wasn’t alone.
So many talented, capable parents are ready to return to work, but face unnecessary barriers along the way. Barriers that leave people feeling overlooked, undervalued, or unsure where they fit.
That’s why this agency was created.
Not just to connect people with jobs, but to support parents through a deeply personal transition—one that impacts their confidence, their families, and their future.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple:
to make returning to work a positive, supported, and empowering experience for parents.
We believe that becoming a parent should never mean stepping away from opportunity.
Our Approach
Everything we do is grounded in empathy, honesty, and understanding.
We know this journey isn’t just professional—it’s personal. That’s why we take the time to listen, to guide, and to support every step of the way.
Because no one should have to navigate returning to work alone

Meet Our Dedicated Team
Hi, I’m Natalie, founder of NextStep Parents, recruiter, and mum of two young children.
Returning to work after having my children was a journey I hadn’t fully prepared for. Like many parents, I found myself trying to balance family life while rebuilding my confidence and searching for a role that truly fit around our new routine. At times, it felt overwhelming and often quite isolating.
Through that experience, I realised something important. Parents bring so much more to the workplace than they are often given credit for. Skills like resilience, adaptability, organisation, and empathy are developed every day, yet they are so often overlooked.
I created NextStep Parents to help change that.
With a background in recruitment and experience in the care sector, I bring both professional insight and lived experience to the parents I support. I have worked with organisations to find the right people, and I have also been the parent navigating the uncertainty of returning to work. That perspective shapes how I support others.
At NextStep Parents, I am passionate about helping parents recognise their value and find opportunities that genuinely work for them. I connect parents with flexible, meaningful roles and offer personalised career coaching to help rebuild confidence, gain clarity, and take the next step in a way that feels right.
This is about more than just finding a job.
It is about building a future where your career can grow alongside your family, and where you feel confident, supported, and valued every step of the way.
